Counselling
Counselling
Counselling is a form of talk therapy wherein the counsellor and client collaborate to identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil. Creating strategies to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.
Our counselling sessions happen in person, on the phone and on video calls. It starts with booking a first appointment where where our reception staff gather basic information such as address, phone number, any relevant insurance information, and types of services desired. Once the appointment is booked, the client is then asked to provide written information such as relevant medical issues, past history of mental health problems, family history, and other details that are relevant to counselling service provision.
By bringing subconscious or unconscious motivations to the surface, counselling helps guide clients toward solutions. It is therefore a joint effort, one that can serve to help with a large array of challenges:

- Abuse
- Low self-esteem
- Fathering Support
- Anxiety depression
- Traumatic past
- We provide emotional support and counselling to clients who are struggling with the challenges of the judicial and family court systems, we are able to provide proper referrals when necessary.
By offering low barrier affordable counselling we give all individuals in society an equal chance at changing their lives for the better. Supporting people to increase their mental well being, means that they are more productive, have better relationships with family and friends, have greater self-esteem and can see their true potential in life. This positive change has a domino effect on the people around them and in turn creates a healthy, vibrant and inclusive society.
