THE MEN’S CENTRE

With an overabundance of caution, and in concern for our clients, staff, and volunteers, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the Men’s Centre to the general public as of Tuesday, March 17. It is our intention to continue to answer the telephone during our regular working hours, and provide assistance and counselling and referrals to those who need it, over the phone, via email, and through audio video consultations. Currently our meeting groups have either gone online or have suspended meetings temporarily. We will continue with programs as we can and we will assess each program for how best to proceed.

We hope you will understand and support our decision. It is not one we have taken lightly, as we know our clients depend on our services; however, we want to err on the side of caution to do our part to help keep the community safe for everyone. We are thinking of the bigger picture in terms of flattening the curve so that our health care systems don’t get overwhelmed by a wave which we expect will inevitably strike very soon. We are fortunate in being able to see how this corona tidal wave has hit other countries and can take preventative measures.

We will be monitoring the situation on a daily basis and will be poised to re-open the Centre to the general public as soon as provincial and federal health authorities recommend it to be appropriate.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Take care everyone.
